Jen ranks as top celebrity covergirl
When it comes to celebrity magazines, actress Jennifer Aniston is the No. 1 covergirl, according to a Forbes ranking of the top-selling faces.
The former Friends star was followed by her ex-husband, actor Brad Pitt, the only man to appear in the top 10, who came in second. Actress Scarlett Johansson, Pitt's current partner Angelina Jolie, Reese Witherspoon and Katie Holmes rounded out the top six spots.
The website, forbes analyzed the sales of six weekly magazines - People, Star, Us Weekly, In Touch, OK! and Life & Style - over a six-month period ending June 30, 2007.
"We eliminated all non-celebrity and collage covers as well as special issues with exceptionally large rate bases," said Forbes.
"Then we counted how many more-or-less issues the celebrity's cover sold, as compared with the magazine's average newsstand sales."
Also factored in were the number of covers graced by a celebrity and their consumer appeal, which was rated by E-Poll Market Research.
Singers and American Idol contestants Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson tied for seventh place, and were followed by actress and Jenny Craig spokeswoman Valerie Bertinelli and morning talk show host Kelly Ripa.
And while pop star Britney Spears appeared on 18 covers during the six months, the collective sales were some 600,000 below average, said Forbes, and combined with her low appeal score of 3, placed her last among the cover subjects.
The only celebrity to have a lower appeal rating than Spears was Paris Hilton,

Snoop Dogg Gets Probation

Rapper Snoop Dogg continues to have minor brushes with the law but nothing all that serious.
The Dogg entered into a plea agreement to a charge of possession of a dangerous weapon, a collapsible baton, and will serve 160 hours of community service as a result.
I don't why he did it but Snoop got caught trying to board a plane with the baton.
It had to be a mistake, maybe he forgot it was in his bag, because these days everyone knows about the rules about bringing anything like that on a plane.

Marie Antoinette Costume
That post I did on the costumes in Pride & Prejudice got me interested in costume design in other movies. And of course, the first movie that popped into my head was Marie Antoinette. I found this amazing website about the costumes and costume design in the movie.

This ended up being my favorite part of the website. Blahnik talked about designing the shoes, saying, "When the producers called, I dropped everything. When I was a boy, my mother read a Marie-Antoinette biography, and I have read Antonia Fraser's version. I can't wait to see it. They said 'make them sexy', but I wanted to do something very academic." He researched the original 18th century shoes before making these beauties.
Aaah, to be a young queen with beautiful clothes and shoes.....
Having just watched the Madonna documentary Madonna: Truth or Dare before looking at all the beautiful costumes, I've had kind of an overload of fabulousness. Must go to bed.

Wilson, as you know, has been experiencing a period of bad luck, and is taking a sabbatical from acting. Recently he endured the loss of his girlfriend, Kate Hudson, and a failure at his first attempt at suicide.

Jessica Alba reveals fond of downing bottles
Actress Jessica Alba has revealed to a secret vice - she is fond of downing bottles of whisky. The Hollywood beauty criticizes people who collect bottles of distilled liquor for she considers it to be a waste of alcohol.
Instead, she would rather drink it. "I drink it with friends and my father. What's the point of collecting it when you are not going to enjoy it," Contactmusic quoted Alba, as saying.
"It is such a short life that you might as well enjoy it," she added. The actress, who won the female hottie award at the Teen Choice Awards, once asserted that she has one healthy habit of drinking a lot of water.
The 26-year-old actress is best known for her roles in Dark Angel, Sin City, Fantastic Four, Into the Blue and Idle Hands.

Hayden Panettiere's Got Milk Ad
The newly turned legal hottie and Heroes cutie Hayden Panettiere got a new Got Milk? ad! Panettiere and her co-star Masi Oka are the newest celebs sporting the milk mustache in promotion of milk consumption. The commercial shows Hayden in a sleek red dress holding an exploding glass of milk.
Hayden says in the ad,
You dont have to be a hero to feel invincible. Thats why I drink milk, she says in the ads, part of a campaign to get teens to drink three glasses of low-fat or fat-free milk a day. The ads, debuting Sept. 10, were shot in May by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz and show Panettiere in a sleek red dress holding an exploding glass of milk.
No doubt, she is looking cute in the commercial but I guess she is too young to look sexy. The ads will debut starting September 10.

Apparently Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are not being as reclusive as they once were, according to reports, but I've yet to see a picture of them together, so we'll just have to continue following the rumors.
